Hours of work: 35 hours per week (term-time only) required for a one-year contract, September 2026 – 31st August 2027

Scale 8: £35,825

You will need to have:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status or equivalent qualification, ie NVQ 3 or experience or ability and commitment to gaining the qualification within the year.
• Numeracy and literacy skills or qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 in English and maths.
• Experience of working with primary aged pupils with severe/profound learning difficulties and autism and challenging behaviour in a school setting under the direction of a teacher.
• Experience of general clerical/ administrative work and supporting the writing of pupil records.
•  Specialist training in relevant learning strategies in appropriate curriculum or learning area.        

Mandeville School is a special primary school for pupils who have severe or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties; many of our pupils also have autism. Classes are organised on an age, need and learning style basis.
